Agenfor International, created in 2018 as an independent subsidiary of the Agenfor Group, is the international member of the non-profit network Agenfor, specialising in participatory security, restorative justice, human rights and public-private cooperation. It is headquartered in Rimini (Italy), with offices in Lugano (Switzerland) and Tirana (Albania). Our specific areas of interest are security and human rights. Our mission is the balancing of relations between international agencies, states, nations and individuals within post-modern societies. The European Convention on Human Rights is the compass we use to navigate the rights of individuals, communities and nations living together under the organisation of the state. In recent years, Agenfor has led several EU-funded projects in the field of prison and probation, minorities and hate speech. Agenfor's goal is to ensure security through better protection of human rights and socio-political participation, with a focus on minorities, prisoners and other vulnerable groups. For this reason, also by virtue of the cooperative network linked to the projects co-funded by the European Union, the Foundation works closely with public prosecutors' offices, the Carabinieri, civil society organisations and religious communities or individuals affected by the climate of hatred and discrimination in Italy. We regularly plan proposals in the field of security, human rights and international cooperation for EU and other international funds with the support of an extended partnership. Experienced in planning and managing EU-funded projects, always on the lookout for new projects, new partners and sharing information worldwide, Agenfor International is a private, non-profit NGO supporting participatory security. We help harmonise the needs of the state and citizens, with a specific focus on minorities and prisoners' rights, by connecting civil society organisations with institutions.
