The first cyber surveillance system will be installed in Rimini

The first highly specialized cyber surveillance system will be installed in Rimini, already used by police forces and intelligence agencies in several countries, in order to prevent and combat migrant smuggling and hate crimes, as well as fake news. The announcement was made by our founder Sergio Bianchi, on Saturday during the inauguration of the Faces of Peace event, which was held in Rimini. “About 6.5 million Ukrainian refugees – explains Bianchi – are in Europe today because of the war. It is a highly vulnerable population which has dragged attention from European and Italian mafias. Therefore, in cooperation with the European Commission and numerous Italian prosecutors and European police forces, the Agenfor International Foundation will install one of the three new OSINT systems in Rimini “. The surveillance system that will be adopted in Rimini will become operational from July. The other two are installed at the Trento and Venice District Prosecutors. “Rimini was chosen – explains Bianchi – after the alarm from Europol (The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation) on the trafficking of human beings in the tourism and agriculture sectors”. At the beginning of July, a team of Agenfor intelligence analysts will complete the training at the Venice police headquarters, in collaboration with the prosecutors and the judicial police of Trieste, Venice and Padua. “Rimini – concludes Bianchi – will be a very important platform for these experiments and we hope to find the collaboration of labor inspectorates, trade unions and non-governmental organizations in these areas, because safety and prevention are common goods”.
